Trek Technologies claim to have identified a gap in the market and a need for a lightweight hiking staff with the functionality of a tripod - known as the TrekPod Go. Certainly niche, but not without merit. Includes a special quick-release mount system called MagMount - so it's easy to thread your camera on after walking long distances with ease.
